Nexla Named a Representative Vendor in Gartner’s 2018 Market Guide for Event Stream Processing
Data Operations Platform Recognized in Market Guide for Event Stream Processing
Nexla has been recognized by Gartner as a Representative Vendor in the 2018 Market Guide for Event Stream Processing (ESP). Read the full announcement on Yahoo Finance.
Gartner defines event stream processing platforms as “software systems that perform real-time or near-real-time calculations on event data ‘in motion.’ The input is one or more event streams containing data about customer orders, insurance claims, bank deposits/withdrawals, tweets, Facebook postings, emails, financial or other markets, or sensor data from physical assets such as vehicles, mobile devices or machines.”
The report identifies two sub segments in the market: Stream analytics ESP offerings and Stream data integration ESP offerings. Nexla provides event stream data integration solutions to companies in the retail, healthcare, and technology sectors.
According to the Market Guide for Event Stream Processing, Gartner recommends that data and analytics leaders should:
- “Leverage one event processing platform to support multiple current or expected business streaming use cases, propagating reuse of event streams and logic to improve efficiency and consistency. This is preferable to using a different ESP product for each ESP application, if the ESP can support the various application requirements.”
- “Exploit cloud to minimize experimentation and scalability costs for applications that are not low latency and for which it is practical to store the data in the cloud.”
- “Use SaaS — to avoid or minimize the effort of developing and supporting custom event processing application logic — if the application runs in the cloud and a SaaS application offering is available that matches your particular business requirements.”
“Companies across sectors are adopting event stream processing to accelerate time to insight from data,” said Saket Saurabh, co-founder and CEO, Nexla. “The Nexla data operations platform allows data teams to easily integrate, transform, and monitor event streams with minimal effort from IT or engineering. We are honored to be a Representative Vendor in Gartner’s Market Guide for Event Stream Processing.”
Nexla’s data operations platform supports integration for real-time streaming data. With Nexla’s intuitive interface, analysts and business users can easily build the data flows they need. Nexla provides self-service tools for data mapping, validation, error isolation, and data enrichment. Collaborative workflows are now possible for real-time and batch data. Fifty percent of data professionals report they don’t have enough backend data resources to do their jobs. It’s important to provide tools that can be safely used by more data stakeholders to speed up time to value. Automated monitoring, alerting, and error reporting ensures nothing breaks downstream.
