Nexla contributes key innovations from its cutting-edge agentic AI framework to the open source community, reinforcing its commitment to advancing enterprise-grade AI technology.
2017 was the year when AI came into the mainstream of computing and has now taken the concept of “Software Eating the World” to the next level. As software gets wired to more data, it has started to assist and drive processes, decisions, and intelligence across applications including automotive, healthcare, finance, supply chain, and even home automation. These advancements depend on continuously feeding software with the right data, in the right form. In 2016 when we started Nexla, our goal was to make this data flow easy and operationally scalable.
In 2017 we had the first opportunity to showcase how we had transformed some of these ideas into practice. As we embark on to 2018, we know that we have just begun solving one of the most difficult and critical operational challenges of our times.
The year started strong for Nexla as we brought home first place at Strata Data’s Startup Showcase with a product still largely under wraps as we privately demoed early versions. In May, we proudly launched at TechCrunch Disrupt’s Startup Battlefield while simultaneously dropping our industry-first Definitive Data Operations Report.
The report was a result of hundreds of conversations and was the first effort to quantify the problems many data professionals had been experiencing and foreseeing. It explored the current state of DataOps, defining and illustrating the growing need for companies to invest in their Data Operations. Nexla sets out everyday to help companies solve their data challenges and start deriving value as quickly as possible. This specific mission got us selected as one of CRN Magazine’s Top 10 Coolest Big Data Startups of 2017.
2017 was a remarkable year for Nexla and a big part of that is attributable to many who generously supported us with advice and introductions. We’re thrilled to be building a product alongside some of the best people and companies in this industry. From our partnership with Looker, to our engineering team working tirelessly to make sure we flawlessly integrate with Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, and support formats like Parquet, we owe the successes of this year to the people that helped get us here.
We’re excited to see what 2018 has in store for Nexla, and we welcome you to be a part of our journey.
